Heavens triple choc slice

I pray for miracles every day, some big and some small. I send gratitude every day for my partner, house and income. I feel all I am creating every day - man manifestation is FAST. And… I eat chocolate daily (confession). But aye, it makes life 100% more pleasurable and this slice, my friends = PLEASURE. Also, an epic recipe from my cookbook, Nourished NATURALLY within because it is insanely succulent! It is the most mouth-watering slice I have ever tasted and is one of my top picks from this book (I may be biased here).

Ingredients:

BASE

  • 120g (1 cup) almond meal

  • 50g (1⁄4 cup) buckwheat groats

  • 28g (1⁄4 cup) cacao powder

  • 2 tablespoons hemp seeds

  • 2 tablespoons cacao butter, melted

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

    MIDDLE

  • 90g (1 1⁄2 cups) shredded coconut

  • 2 1⁄2 tablespoons coconut milk

  • 2 1⁄2 tablespoon macadamia oil

  • 1 1⁄2 tablespoon water

  • 6 medjool dates, pitted

    TOP

  • 75g (1⁄2 cup) cashews

  • 70g (1⁄2 cup) macadamias

  • 60ml (1⁄4 cup) cacao butter, melted

  • 28g (1⁄4 cup) carob powder

  • 1 tablespoon cacao powder

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

  • 60ml (1⁄4 cup) water

  • 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions:

BASE

  1. Line a small (20 x 20cm) slice tin. In a bowl, stir together all the base ingredients. Tip this into the lined slice tin and evenly press it down (to form the chocolate base) —place in the freezer.

    MIDDLE

  2. In a high-speed blender, add all the middle ingredients. Use a tamper stick to help blend the middle layer on high for 2-4 minutes or until the mixture is smooth (this may take a little time depending on your blender type). Tip the contents out onto the base layer and spread it out evenly. Return to the freezer.

  3. In the same blender, add all the top ingredients and blend like the middle layer. Tip out onto the middle layer and spread down evenly. Sprinkle with some hemp seeds and salt (optional). Place in the fridge for 2 hours to set. Once set, remove and cut according to your desired size (around 25 small pieces).

  4. If it lasts... store it in the fridge for a week or in the freezer for 2 months.
